Crowns & Bridges

A crown (“tooth cap”) is used to entirely cover a tooth that is fractured, broken down or heavily restored. Commonly, crowns are recommended by a dentist after root canal treatment when the tooth has been both weakened and has lost its proprioception (no nerve). However, crowns can also be recommended when an existing large filling has broken down and there is not enough natural tooth remaining to bond filling material.

A bridge is an option for when there are one or more missing teeth and is attached to crowns either side of the area of missing tooth/teeth.
